Art Car

To celebrate turning 300,000 miles and moving to Berkeley, California, aging Ingrid the Volvo became an Art Car.  This was accomplished at a well-organized party.  The design and black grids were established carefully with high quality sign paint and masking before the party.  Friends and family at the farewell party were shown a collection of Mondrian art and asked to select a square or two to paint in the spirit of the artist.  Again, masking and high quality sign paint in primary colors kept the group effort very neat.  The result was a wonderfully fun and colorful vehicle that more than three years later is still gracing the streets of Berkeley and generating waves and fan mail.
