I am an organized, creative, individualist who gets things done. Creating is part of who I am, whether it’s drawing, painting, building a fence, making stuffed animals, planning a park, organizing an art car party, sketching in journals, block printing, or writing and illustrating a book about wolverines. After a 35 year career with the National Park Service as a landscape architect, park planner, and wilderness program manager I focused on building illustration skills in the School of Botanical Art and Illustration at the Denver Botanic Gardens and now enjoy illustrating the world around me – plants, animals, landscapes, new places, and new conditions. I strive for my illustrations to delight and inspire people to connect to their environment.
