Artist, Illustrator, Nature Advocate
Art
Skills in botanical illustration are the foundation of my work. Watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, and colored pencil.
Wolverines
In advocacy for wild places I created the book “Send Me a Box of Wolverines.”
Nature
For more than 10 years I have been keeping visual journals of nature, travel, and things close to home.
Projects
Connections
I like to create colorful, energetic images of natural resources that show people pieces of the puzzle that fit togher.
Flicker Story
During the spring of 2020 I sketched the ongoing story of Northern Flickers nesting on the side of my house. I won the John James Audubon Nature Sketch contest for a compilation of the sketches from installing the bird box through the hatching of 7 nestlings.
Sketches from Golden
Starting in March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic began to keep everyone close to home, I turned to sketching to build skills and share nearly daily images with friends and family.
